The Senate Appropriations Committee on August 5, 1964 in ih, Report No. 1326 recommended the same amounts as the House of Representatives had allowed. Current studies indicate that runoff of the Colorado River is expected to be substantially below average which will reduce anticipated revenues to be derived from the sale of water and power; and it is estimated that this deficiency in revenues and the increased requirements for purchase of deficiency power for the Boulder Canyon project will require this additional sum." On August 14, 1964 both the House of Representatives and the Senate adopted the Conference Report No. 1794 to accompany H.R. 11579. Since the House and Senate had agreed on items In H.R. 11579 there were no adjustments made by the Conference Com- mittee in items for the Colorado River Storage Project and partici- pating projects. FISCAL DATA - COLORADO RIVER STORAGE PROJECT Section 6 of the Act authorizing the construction and operation of the Colorado River Storage Project and participating projects (Act of April 11, 1956, 70 Stat. 105) stipulates that "On January 1 of each year the Secretary (of the Interior) shall report to the Con- gress for the previous fiscal year. . . upon the status of the revenues from, and the cost of constructing, operating, and maintaining the Colorado River Storage project and the participating projects."
