Difficult logistics associated with geographic isolation, low
water volumes and limited access made this study both challenging and frustrating. Successful
completion of the project would not have been possible without the aid of a group of hardy
individuals. The authors would like to acknowledge and thank the following people for their
assistance in conducting field work and other contributions to this project.

BIO/WEST biologists that contributed to field work and/or data analysis included Chris Carrier,
Bryan Cowdell, Glenn Doster and Penny Trinca.

Mr. Tom Beck of the Colorado Division of Wildlife (CDOW) provided invaluable support
throughout the project. Mr. Beck consistently provided personnel and equipment for logistic support
of field efforts. He also provided data and insights from a CDOW river otter reintroduction study
initiated in 1987. Other CDOW personnel that assisted in field work were Tom Benjamin and Jim
White. Mr. Tom Nesler of CDOW, Fort Collins, also provided assistance and insight during field
work.

Utah Division of Wildlife (UDWR) provided personnel and logistic support for field trips,
UDWR personnel that contributed to field efforts included Tom Chart, Melissa Trammel, Tom
McKay, Mike Buntjer and Ira Hickman.

BIO/WEST would also like to thank UDWR and CDOW for administrative' assistance as
cooperative agencies in this project, specifically Mr. Randy Radant and Mr. Leo Lentsch of UDWR
and Mr. Jim Bennett of CDOW.

Bureau of Reclamation personnel that provided valuable assistance in the field were Larry Crist,
Doug Young and Sue Swift. Mr. Crist also participated in the project as a BIO/WEST biologist. Kirk
Lashmett provided technical information on McPhee Dam operations and reviewed this report.
