<br />profit organizations. <br /> <br />Yes, we will be using the Weld County Youth Conservation Corp to do most of the work for <br />the removal of the tamarisk and Russian olive trees. Local schools and the Boy Scouts will be . <br />used to do some of the mapping and the water monitoring. The Poudre Learning Center is a <br />component of the School Districts 6, RE 4, RE 5J, and RE 2. The Poudre River Trail is a a <br />project coordinated under an intergovernmental agreement between the City of GrE~eley, Weld <br />County and the Town of Windsor. <br /> <br />The Project is consistent with the goals for priority areas established by Colorado weed <br />regulations, in particular the salt cedar management plan: BCCR 1206-2 part 4. <br /> <br />Yes, this project is consistent with the goals for priority areas established by the Colorado <br />weed regulations. <br /> <br />The Project includes reliable method to assess and/or quantify changes in riparian hydrology <br />as a result of control and revegetation. <br /> <br />Yes, the Poudre Learning Center is developing the methods that will be used to assess and <br />quantify the changes in the riparian hydrology. These methods will then be utilized at all three <br />monitoring stations. <br /> <br />The Project incorporates an educational component (such as school field trips, volunteer <br />recruitment, news media coverage, etc.) that increases public awareness of TRO issues or <br />includes innovative strategy for biomass reduction/utilization. <br /> <br />Yes, a large educational component is included. Billboards, newspapers, radio and TV will be <br />utilized. See the project schedule for a timeline of these activities. Additionally, information will . <br />be included in 2 newsletters and on multiple websites.
