To authorize the Bureau of Reclamation to provide cost sharing for the implementation of
the Platte River Recovery Implementation Program for Endangered Species in the
Central and Lower Platte River Basin, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United
States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION l. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the "Platte River Recovery Implementation Program Act
of 2005".
SEC. 2. PURPOSE.
The purpose of this Act is to authorize and provide funding for the Secretary of
the Interior, acting through the Bureau of Reclamation and in partnership with the States
of Wyoming, Nebraska and Colorado, other Federal agencies, and other non-Federal
entities, to continue the implementation of the Platte River Recovery Implementation
Program for Endangered Species in the Central and Lower Platte River Basin.
SEC. 3. DEFINITIONS.
In this Act:
(1) FIRST INCREMENT.- The tertn `first increment' means the first thirteen
years of the Recovery Implementation Program or such longer period as may be
approved pursuant to Section 4(e) of this Act.
(2) GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE- The term `Governance Committee' means
the Recovery Implementation Program decision-making body with membership as
described in the Recovery Implementation Program.
