Attachment A <br />Agreement In Principle Summary <br />Agreement in Principle (AIP) dated June 30, 1997 was an agreement between NPPD, <br />Tlie Central Nebraska Public Power and Irrigation District (collectively referred to as <br />Districts) and the Department of the Interior (DOI). The AIP describes and resolves all <br />issues related to fish, wildlife or other topics within DOI's jurisdiction raised in the <br />relicensing of the Districts FERC projects. The details regarding obligations by the <br />parties to the agreement specific to Cottonwood Ranch habitat development and <br />maintenance can be found on pages 7 and 8 of the agreement. The agreement states that <br />"I?nhancement and management of these Program Habitat Lands are through the <br />Cooperative Agreement and the Program. As a convince and to expedite implementation, <br />th.e Districts will accept responsibility to develop and implement a plan to enhance the <br />Pi°ogram Habitat Lands during the Cooperative Agreement, with the understanding that <br />th.e Districts will be fully reimbursed by the Governance Committee". <br />Enclosed are pages 7 and 8 of the AIP which address Cottonwood Ranch.
