LA YNE CHRISTENSEN COMPANY
CO Well Contractor Lic. # 1200
17800 East 22"d Avenue, Aurora, CO 80011• Phone: 303-755-1281• Fas: 303-755-1236 ~i~+w.laynechristensen.com
November 18, 2008
Deb Marsicano
Park Center Water District
Po Box 1406
Canon City, CO 81215
RE: Preliminary proposal to drill and construct a replacement artesian well
Ms. Marsicano:
Layne Christensen Company is pleased to provide this proposal to drill and construct an artesian well for
Park Center Water District in Canon City. We estimate the cost for an artesian well is $1.2 to $1.5
million. Our work will be conducted on a time and materials basis because of the complexity of the
project. However, we have drilled many even deeper artesian wells with more difficult circumstances;
therefore, we are confident this well can be completed.
Our scope of work includes:
• Providing a consultant if requested who would help in the well design;
• Hauling water to the site for drilling;
• Drilling up to 3,000 feet;
• Providing an artesian wellhead while drilling;
• Providing and installing 8" casing to 2,700 feet;
• Providing and pumping cement from 0 to 2,700 feet between the casing and borehole;
• Developing the well; and
• Hauling drilling fluid to another site for disposal.
Thank you for the opportunity. Please call if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Lar~ynpe Cnnhris~t/ensen Company
Michael McDevitt
Account Manager
® Professional Sen~ices_for WaterSysten~s
~ne
