A landslide occurred directly below the subject ditch as a result of the ditch leaking. The ditch company recently installed approximately 1,000 lineal feet of 6' diameter CMP to reduce the leakage in the ditch. However, after the CMP was installed and the ditch was fumed back on the joints in the pipe began to leak and a second landslide developed directly below a leaking joint. The two failed areas located immediately below the ditch were soil nailed to provide stability. However, the failed materials/debris below the slides have not yet been removed or stabilized. The ditch company needs to repair the leaking joints in the CMP and stabilize the • debris below the failed areas and restore the scarps located in the failed areas.
