~ ~ <br />Floodplai~l technical review for ~CWCB ap~roval ($ I5,000) - Consultant shall complete detailed <br />floodplain~ hydrolo,gy and hydratilic reviews for studies submitted to the CWCB for pa~ssible inclusion <br />in the desi.gnated and approve library of statewide floodplain studies. The reviews shall include <br />verificatio~n of: 1) ~~ppropriatencss of base mapping information, 2) Reasonableness of detailed p~~ak <br />flood flow values for consistenGy with standard practice, 3) Accuracy of hydraulic modeling resul.ts, <br />and 4) Co:mpliance: with state ariid federal mapping regulations. Tazget floodplain studies for this task <br />are: Erie, :Larimer ~~ounty, Eagle County, Douglas County, Fremont County, Adams County, Ara~pahoe <br />County, a~zd Boulder County. Clther comrnunities may be substituted as needs arise. <br />Floodplain Technic;al Services ~$10,000) -- The CWCB strives to assist participating communitie;~ in <br />need of irrunediate technical senrices to address flood problems. Often, CWCB staffmembers are; not <br />in a positi~~n to mobilize to prov~de these services, especially in regions of the state far from Denver. <br />This task ~~vill enable CWCB to provide a response to communities in these situations. Because tlnis <br />task is set up to respond to emer,gency needs as they arise, no specific tasks are set at Yhis time. Upon <br />notice to ~-roceed firom CV6~CB, ~onsultant is authorized to spend a maximum of $5,000 per assig~led <br />task. If this task dc~es not use the full allotrnent, then additional flood hazard identification or <br />floodplain technica.l review services will be performed. <br />T'he basis and guidance for the flood hazard work is contained in the CWCB's revised "floodplain <br />rules and xegulatio:ns" effective December l, 2005 and posted on the CWCB website. In addition, the <br />newly created Sta~tewide Floodplain and Stormwater Criteria Manual should be referenced by the <br />Consultant for com.pleting the n~cessary tasks. <br />PAYMErIT <br />For each i~ndividual~ study arealstream reach analyzed by the Consultant under this Work Authoriration <br />agreement, The v~~ork for each study au~ea shall be completed based on the individual study <br />requireme~nts usin€; a time and materials basis (consultant sha11 invoice the C~CB utilizing the <br />approved ~Nage rate: schedule pr~sented in Exhibit B of the Work Authorization). <br />MEETIN~GS AND~ COOItDINATION <br />Progress n7eetings between CWCB and C~nsultant will be completed as necessary for this Scope of <br />Services. ']Che Cons,ultant's Project Manager shall provide verbal reports and written status reports via <br />email to the CWCE~ Study Mana;ger on a monthly basis or as requested. <br />COMPLE;TION a-F WO][tK <br />Schedule <br />The Consultant sha~ll complete all tasks as assigned relating to flood hydrology assessments for each <br />study area~'stream r~~ach, and sha;~l submit draft and final reports in a timely manner as described i.n the <br />notice to p:roceed fc~r each individual study area/stream reach. <br />Report Format <br />Consultant shall pL~oduce final hard copy reports containing appropriate text, photographs, rnaps, <br />charts, tables and graphics to ad~quately document their work. Completion of the wor~C will includle the <br />acceptable perform;ance of all tasks and the deliverables. The preferred report format is 8.5" by 11" <br />with a cov~rr letter and executiv~ summary. Fold-out pages or map pockets can be used for any larger <br />sheets as n~~eded. <br />2 <br />
