(fl USGS Quad map index - These data were obtained from the USGS and <br />includes the outline of all quad maps encompassed by the County <br />boundary. <br />(g) New FIRM panel boundaries - This data set was created by Anderson <br />Consulting Engineers, Inc., and displays the outlines of the new DFIRM <br />panels for the county. <br />The hydraulic structure layer, including bridges and culverts within the extents of <br />the effective hydraulic models, along with dams, weirs, and levees that are present <br />within the county were obtained from the respective hydraulic studies. I~ams, <br />weirs and levees along with the bridges and culverts in the effective hydraulic <br />models that were visible on the 2005 aerial photo were digitized by Anderson <br />Consulting Engineers, Inc. <br />The coordinate system used for the production of the digital FIRM is Universe <br />Transverse Mercator referenced to the North American Datum of 1983 and the <br />GRS 80 spheroid, Western Hemisphere. <br />1.3 Coordination <br />On July 22, 1985, FEMA approved the preparation of a Flood Insurance Study for <br />the Town of Mancos using data generated for the Flood Plain Information report <br />for the Mancos River and Chicken Creek. <br />The final community coordination meeting for the Town of Mancos, Colorado, <br />was held on October 8, 1985, and was attended by representatives of FEMA and <br />the community. All significant problems raised at that meeting were resolved in <br />the Flood Insurance Study for the Town of Mancos <br />On March 10, 1988, the Flood Insurance Study for the Town of Dolores, <br />Colorado, was reviewed and accepted at a final coordination meeting attended by <br />representatives of the community and FEMA. <br />On May 23, 1988, the Flood Insurance Study far Montezuma County, Colorado, <br />Unincorporated Areas, was reviewed and accepted at a final coordination meeting <br />attended by representatives of the community and FEMA. <br />A pre-scoping meeting for the Montezuma Countywide DFIRM Conversion <br />project was conducted in March 2005. <br />On August 21, 2007 the results of the countywide DFIRM Conversion project <br />were presented and reviewed at a fmal community coordination meeting attended <br />by representatives of FEMA, the Colorado ~1Vater Conservation Board, <br />Montezuma County, the City of Cortez, and the DFIRM study contractor. All <br />concerns raised during this meeting have been resolved. <br />
