• <br />ActivitiFS CTP FEMA <br />(NSP) <br />Activity 13 - FIS Report Production X <br />Activity 14 - Independent QA/QC Revi~~w of DFIIZM Product Meeting <br />FEMA Graphics and Database Specifica~tions X <br />Activity 15 - Preliminary DFIRM and FIS Report Distribution X X <br />Activity 16 - Post-Preliminary Process'vig X X <br />Activity 17 - Outreach ~ X X <br />F~MA has developed tools to assist in the development of the flood hazard data studies and the Digital <br />Flood Insurance Rate Maps (DFIRMs). FEN[A will, through the NSP, provide all CTPs access to and <br />training in tfliese tools. The tools available at tliis time include WgSE software and the DFIRIv1 production <br />tools. The use of these tools will improve the 1VIap Modernization and efficiency of all mapping partners. <br />If the CTP chooses not to use these production tools, then the CTP will be required to submit intermediate <br />project data at anajor milestones in each Mapping Project in accordance with intermediate data <br />specifications. Submitting data in these stand,~rds will aid in more ei~icient quality control reviews, data <br />storage, archiving, and for futiare study update<,c. <br />• The Intermediate Data Specifications submitta;'ls will be required at the following study milestones: <br />• Project Scoping tas specified) <br />• DFIRM Mapping (draft and prelimina~y) <br />Although the scoping activity is not specifically included in this table, CTPs performing scoping activities <br />will be required to submit scoping related data in accordance with the intermediate data standards. <br />QA/QC review activities may be performed b}+ CTPs or the NSP at the discretion of FEMA. Please note <br />the NSP will also be performing pe~iodic auclits and overall studylproject management to ensure study <br />quality. FEMA will be providing download/i.~pload capability for intermediate data submittals through <br />the ManageIInent ~nformation Portal (MIP). Data submittals uploaded via the MIP, will include the same <br />data required prior to the eaustence of the MIP. <br />Activity~ 1 - Pre-Scoping <br />• <br />Responsible Mapping Partner: FEMA and CWCB <br />Sco e: Pre-Scoping or Mapping Needs Assessment forms the building block for the Scoping Phase. This <br />tasflc involves collecting data from a variety of sources including community surveys, other Federal and <br />State Agencies, NFIP State Coordinators, Community Assistance Visits (CAV's) and FEMA archives. <br />PBS&J will evaluate the effective FIS report a~id FIIZM maps to see if it needs to be updated.
