Teachers have <br />commented that these are "the best workshops I've attended; I learned so much about conserving <br />water. I now feel I have the understanding to not only answer my own questions, but also those of <br />my friends and family. I have a newfound appreciation for water and so many new ideas to bring <br />back to my classroom." <br />Overall, as depicted in Table 2, seventeen specialized trainings were conducted, and all <br />additional seven pre-service teacher workshops at colleges and universities. In this sponsored workshop teachers get <br />an in-depth look at their local water system and a deeper understanding of regional water issues. <br />The partnership between the two sponsoring entities, the Douglas County Water Resources <br />Authority (DCWRA) and the Great Western Institute (GWI), provides teachers with the <br />Page 6 <br />
