Gimbel <br />CWCB Director <br />Studies <br />Dan McAuliffe <br />CWCB Deputy Director <br />The CWCB needs funding to meet unanticipated needs for projects and <br />studies and to provide assistance to entities related to water planning. These requests often take <br />the form of small grants for projects and studies . The General Assembly has in the past <br />authorized and appropriated money to the agency for “ W ater Planning Studies.” <br />The amount the CWCB has remaining in the Construction Fund authorized for Water Planning <br />Studies has been reduced over time. <br />Recommendation (written as proposed statutory language) <br />The Board should approve the inclusion the following provision in the 2009 Projects Bill: <br />SECTION __. Wa ter Planning Studies -- Continuation. <br />(1) The Colorado water conservation <br />board is authorized to expend up to one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) from the Colorado <br />water conservation board construction fund to continue providing funds for water related <br />planning activities.
