Water Supply Reserve Account - Grant Application Form
Form Revised May 2007
Task 4
Task 5
Task 6
Task 7
Task 8
Run electric to building
La Plata Electric Association has prepared a location about 75' from the building for us to take power off
of The excavation and installation of this will be done by Quentin Wray, Inc.
Schedule:
• This work can be completed in two days and will be started once the treatment building is done.
Treatment and Pump Equipment installation
This equipment will be installed by Brooks Well Service, Inc. The Design Report will detail the exact
equipment required. Items included are chlorination equipment, well pump, system pressurization pump,
pressure tanks, and necessary piping, valves and gauges.
Schedule:
• Once the Design report is accepted by the State and funding has become available this work can be
completed within 2 weeks of the completion of the treatment building.
Water storage tanks
One 15,000 gallon tank must be installed for storage. An easement on another lot adjacent to the well and
treatment building has been acquired. The tanks will be installed by an excavation company according to
the tank manufacturers requirements.
Brooks Well Service, Inc. will plumb them into the system.
Schedule:
• Once the Design report is accepted by the State and funding has become available the tank can be
ordered and will arrive within 3 weeks. The installation of the tank can be completed in the same 2
weeks that the other equipment is being installed.
Tie new system into existing distribution lines
The new system must be tied into the old system in two places.
The fast tie in point is conveniently close to the treatment building. This tie in can be performed by-
Brooks Well Service, Inc. and Quentin Wray, Inc.
The second tie in point is about 250" away. This line will be installed by an excavation contractor.
Schedule:
• The first tie in will occur at the same time that the water storage tanks are buried because that line
runs between the treatment building and the storage tank location.
• The second tie in will be performed after the storage tanks are backfilled.
Upgrade the distribution lines.
This will be completed by an excavation contractor. All underground pipes will be replaced with larger
diameter pipe and be buried below frost level to prevent freeze ups.
Schedule:
• Task 7 will be begun after the above tasks are completed and the new system is online and paid
for. It will be completed as funding to do so is available. Our preference would be to complete this
task in the sunmier of 2009.
9
