Approach:
S.1 Model Refinements -Based on the "Recommended" and "Desirable" refinements
suggested in Task 4.4, enhancements will be included in each of the Subbasin StateCU
and StateMod models. For budgeting purposes, it is assumed that the Consultant will
implement the Task 4 "Recommended" refinements and as much of the Task 4
"Desirable" refinements as possible under current budget constraints. Revisions that
require data enhancements in HydroBase (for instance, errors identified in diversion
records or refinement of irrigated acreage) will be provided to the State with
recommendations for inclusion and for documentation in the user's manual. Same
modifications may need to be executed manually depending on the availability of State
personnel to review, accept and incorporate changes. The Consultant team will make
recommendations to the State for refinements that may require enhancement of StateMod
functionality and will test significant code revisions. The types of potential modifications
are listed in the above bulleted list. For budgeting purposes, it is assumed that 100 hours
will be required to modify data and document effects related to consumptive uses
(including irrigated acreages, crop types, etc) and 150 hours will be required to modify
data and operations, and document changes to StateMod results in technical memoranda.
5.2 BRT Workshops -Prepare for and attend two workshops; one intended to be held in
Glenwood Springs for the combined Colorado River Mainstem BRT and the
Yampa/W bite/Green Rivers BRT; and one intended to be held in Montrose for the
combined Gunnison River BRT and the Dolores/San 3uan/San Miguel Rivers BRT. This
round of workshops is not expected to collect information from the BRTs, but rather
provide an information session far the BRTs after suggested model refinements (from
Task 4) are implemented. The workshops will focus an the following three agenda items:
• Introduction and overview of model refinements
• Presentation on detailed StateMod model operations with refinements, concentrating
on model operations, calibration results, and calibration difficulties
• Methods and techniques for presenting results
5.3 Document Model Refinements -After testing and CWCB approval, update the individual
Subbasin Water Resources Planning Mode] User Manual documentation to reflect input
revisions and calibration results. This includes updating tabular and graphical summaries
of simulations at key locations. Highlight specific revisions in the documentation to
facilitate review by the BRTs. Provide model input data sets and results, including
updated User Manual documentation, to the State to include on a web-based server for
access by the BRTs and others interested in the Study.
Deliverables:
5.1 Recommendations on HydroBase data modifications and StateMod code enhancements.
5.2 Recommendations on updates to subbasin Water Resources Planning Model User Manual
documentation and Summary of outputs from water availability results from simulations.
Colorado River Water Availability Study Scope ] 3 81281200A
CRWAS Phasel Contract Scope EX A Final
