<br />• <br />Grant Evaluation Criteria: <br />1. Meet all minimum application requirements <br />2. locally-based watershed protection efforts, provided that the applicant is <br />committing to a collaborative approach to the restoration and protection of <br />Colorado's watersheds, there is broad based involvement in and/or support for <br />the grant application, including relevant local, state, or federal governmental <br />entities <br />3. Applicant is able to provide significantly more than the minimum 50 percent in- <br />kind or cash match <br />4. Additional multi-objective project components such as improvement and/or <br />protection of the condition of the watershed. This could include elements such as <br />water quality or implementation of watershed related best management <br />practices, flood risk reduction, or enhanced access for recreation. Educational <br />components are also encouraged. <br />5. Applicant organizational capability to accomplish the proposed work? What is <br />the applicant organization's history of working cooperatively in partnership with <br />other community organizations and state and federal agencies? What is the <br />applicant organization's history of accomplishments in regards to the proposed • <br />project. Level of staffing (volunteer or paid), capability of the available staff. <br />Special consideration will be given to projects that use services of Colorado <br />Youth Conservation Corps, or similar groups. <br />6. How effective is the proposal in furthering the CWCB's primary missions <br />restoration and protection of water resources within the watersheds in Colorado <br />will it have measurable results that have a significant impact on improving the <br />health of the watershed <br />7. i°low well is IPM (biocontrol, chemical, mechanical, etc.) utilized in choosing the <br />most appropriate control techniques for a given watershed area. <br />8. Consistency with state weed management plans and regulations, and priority <br />areas established by rule. <br />• <br />
