Wadsworth Boulevard
Littleton, CO $0128
Dear Mr. Peter:
Re: Fort Collins Request to extend the deadline for commenting on the
Northern Integrated Supply Project (NISP} Draft Environmental Impact
Statement (DEIS) to October 28, 2008.
Anheuser Busch works closely with the City of Fort Collins to ensure high
quality water, a critical, fundamental ingredierrt of our high-quality beers.
The City informs us that their preliminary reviE;w of the NISP DEIS has
identified the possibility of water quality concerns that may increase their costs
of treatment. Further, they inform us the July 29th comment deadline does not
afford them sufficient time to fully study and document their concerns. Because
we work closely with the City on these quality issues, they have asked us to
support their request fora 90-day extension to the DEIS comment period. To
the extent the City feels the extension will produce better comments and
ultimately more informed decisions regarding the project, we support the
request and feel that it is reasonable.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
Sincerely,
./~i.
~~~
Todd Hansen
Resident Brewmaster
TWH: sca
cc: Kevin Gertig, °Acting Water-Resources-& Treatmment Services Department Manager
Anheusei-Busch, 1~1r..
X351 Busch Orive
=nr1 CO~hns.
