Describe how the water activity meets these Threshold Criteria. <br />1. The water activity meets the eligibility requirements outlined in Part 2 of the Criteria and Guidelines. <br />This application describes two different kinds of activities. First and most important is a non-structural water <br />activity the voluntary retirement of several well permits and cessation of pumping from those wells in <br />conjunction with the existing CREP and EQIP programs of the IN Department ofAgriculture and the <br />Republican River Water Conservation District. This activity will achieve several important benefits that go to <br />the core of the Colorado Water for the 21" Century program: In sum, this project will: <br />• help with Compact compliance while providing ecological benefits to key habitat for rare species; <br />• leverage significant public fzznding from CREP and EO)IP in a specific area where the resources will <br />yield greater than average benefits -- the ,South Platte Basin Roundtable's 599,920 would be matched by <br />approximately $-171,920 from other fzznding sources to achieve the project benefits; and <br />4
