(Source: Pueblo Chieftain) COTTONWOOD CREEK GAGE NEAR BUENA VISTA - In March of this year, staff entered into a joint funding agreement with the USGS for the installation and rating of a staff gage on Little Cottonwood Creek below Road 361 near Buena Vista. Staff had the gage installed as part of a "Fishing is Fun" grant for the Harmon State Wildlife area in cooperation with the Town of Buena Vista, DOW and TU. The primary purpose of the grant was to provide for habitat improvements on the creek as well as public education and access. The gage was an in-kind donation by CWCB that should help with administration of the Board's 20 cfs ISF right on this reach of Cottonwood Creek. (Jeff Baessler) ;_.I..
