North Platte Basin Roundtable Meeting Minutes, 07.22.08

Kent: If we're going to write a letter of support, we should know what we are looking at.
They offered tq and they can come up and do a presentation.
Mike Allnutt: If they don't get funded, does DU have enough to fund their own project?
Kent: they have money, but they are leveraging it quite a bit.
Pete: they could complete some of the project, but probably not all of it.
Kent: they have a NAWCA (N. American Wetlands Conservation Act) grant.
The roundtable decided to table the recommendation letter issue until the August 26,
2008 meeting; after the DU presentation. Kent will have a few hard copies of the
application in his office; otherwise, it was circulated by email.

Other Business:
Barbara V: I conversed with some birders and they gave me some information on
birding in Colorado, and mentioned Jackson County as the best summer birding for the
entire state of Colorado.
Barb will send the website link to Curran and she can send it out to the roundtable
members if they want the information.
The attendees of the New Pioneer Ditch tour gave a brief report.
No other business brought before the roundtable.
