Emphasizes local <br />partnerships for ~yater acquisition. <br />Bn~ce Gerk: Proposal is to drill yells in the gravel aquifer: this has been a ver<-sensitive <br />area in past; impact. for instance, of gas wells on river quite significant; so the amount of <br />water you are talking about is significant; therefore, a diminishing effect on wells in the <br />same area. Getting close to being on verge of using up this water. <br />Kernohan: Agrees. <br />Charney: These seem to be stand alone projects: thus, could you prioritize these projects. <br />Kernohan: I think we should support this all together: this means all the goals of the <br />Roundtable. <br />Harold Evans: This could go to the Board and the CCWCB may approve only parts of it. <br />Hecoi: Up to this point, all of the state-wide grants have been evaluated on merit. <br />September may be the fast time that there are more applications than there is funds; in <br />that case. we will have take projects per ranking or fund only some in part. This has not <br />come before the board vet. <br />Wilkinson: Board ~~-i11 need to also split the $10 million which is currently ili front of the <br />Board. Also, there is another issue that there are a number of Roundtables that want $2 <br />million put in each basin fund, up from the current $1 million per basin fund. <br />Harold Evans: Moves that we recommend to the CWBC approval of the application <br />for both basin fund and recommendation for Statewide fund. <br />Les Williams: Seconds <br />Motion carries unanimously. <br />VI. September meeting at earliest. <br />V. Update on previously approved applications <br />a. Chatfield Reallocation <br />Frank Eckhardt: Will return to DC in September. <br />b. Clear Creek Water Bank /High Altitude Storage <br />Eiecutive summai~- in September. <br />c. Ovid Reservoir Feasibility Study <br />Signed contract ~~th State; moving forward ~yith Applegate and <br />should commence first of year. <br />d. Lower South Platte Wetland Initiative <br />All agreements signed; surveying commenced; easements <br />beginning, complete by end of fall. <br />e.
