1. Choose stops for the tour and write the script <br />Jill Boyd, Northern Water's public information specialist, will spearhead the <br />effort to write the script. In collaboration with Northern Water's Landscape Water <br />Management and Conservation Specialist Brent Mecham and Landscape and <br />Irrigation Technician Ron Boyd, Jill will select approximately 15-20 stops for the <br />tour-. Based on information provided by Brent and Ran as well as Northern Water <br />p~~blications and archives and Internet searches, Jill will pen a script that includes <br />both lag~stical information about the stops and some anecdotal pieces ~~ntervrews <br />with other staff members, interesting historical facts, etc.} <br />~'irrrerine: Cojyxpreted by Jrrrre 1. <br />2. Subscribe to the Guide by Cell service and record the tour <br />The San Francisco-based Guide by Cell Inc. provides the phone service <br />infrastructure to make the tour possible. Northern Water will subscribe to the <br />service. Guide by Cell will then assign Northern Water atoll-free number for the <br />tour. Staff membex-s including Jill and Brent and possibly others will narrate the <br />stops by calling into the phone service system and recording audio prompts based <br />on the script from Task l . <br />Tirnetitze: Cotnpreted by June I3. <br />3. Design, order and install signs that announce the tour and indicate the stops <br />Guide by Cell Inc. wi 11 provide Northern Water acell-phone icon to use on signs <br />and rn marketing materials as soon as Northern Water subscribes to the service. <br />Jill will use that icon and design the individual plaques that will indicate each of <br />the stops as well as two pop-up banners that will be placed at the entrance to The <br />Conservation Gardens and the Interpretive Area. <br />Dirk Banks, purchasing specialist, will then go through Northern Water's formal <br />bid process and solicit bids from vat7ous sign companies to create the signs. <br />Gnce the signs are printed, Northern Water• stal-f will Install the signs ~n the back <br />yard. <br />Tinierirte: Signs designed and bid process corripreted by June I. <br />Signs printed by Jrrrre II. <br />Signs instaired by Jrrrre IS. <br />4.
