The source of the water is: <br /> <br />North Turkey Creek, tributary to the South Platte River. <br /> <br />4. <br />claimed. <br /> <br />Legal description of the stream segment through which an instream flow is <br /> <br />The natural stream channel from the confluence of an unnamed <br />tributary in tht; SW/4 SE/4, Sec. 2S, TSS, R71 W, 6th P.M. as the <br />upstream terminus and extending to the confl uence of South <br />Turkey Creek at latitude 3903S'42"N and longitude IOSo l3'11 "W <br />as the downstream terminus, being a distance of approximately 4.6 <br />miles. This segment can be located on the Conifer and Indian Hills <br />U.S.O.S. quadrangles and is depicted on Exhibit A. <br /> <br />For the stream segments in an unsurveyed area, the Division <br />Engineer has detennined for administrative purposes that the <br />approximate legal description of the instream flow tennini as <br />protracted from U.S.O.S. and/or U.S.F.S. mapping is as follows: <br />upstream terminus in the SW/4, SE/4, Sec. 2S, TSS, R71 W, 6th <br />P.M. SSO feet North and 2,ISO feet West of the Southeast corner; <br />downstream tenninus in the NW/4, NW/4, Sec. 27, TSS, R70W, <br />6th P.M., 7S0 feet East and 10 feet South of the Northwest corner. <br /> <br />S. Use of the water: <br /> <br />Instream flow to preserve the natural environment to a reasonable degree. <br /> <br />6. Date of initiation of appropriation: <br /> <br />November 3, 1994. <br /> <br />7. The water was first applied to the above beneficial use on November 3, 1994, by <br />action of the Colorado Water Conservation Board under the provision of C.R.S. SS 37-92-102(3), <br />37-92-103(3),(4),(10). <br /> <br />8. Amount of water claimed (ABSOLUTE): Instream flow of 3.00 c.f.s. (April 1 - <br />July IS); 0.7S c.f.s.
