StateMod GUI Documentation
File Data Run View Tools Help

-I.oJJ
The interface layout will only appear similar to the above if newer GIS file configuration is used. If
necessary, see Appendix -Configuring Spatial Data for the StateMod GUI for more information. It is
recommended that data files be converted to new conventions to take advantage of the latest software
features. The main interface window for the StateMod GUI has several components.
Menu Bar The menu bar at the top of the interface contains the menus for each of the
major windows available within the interface. Each menu is discussed in
detail in the following sections.
Map Display The map display area occupies most of the main interface and displays
spatial data. Features of this tool are described in detail in the GeoView
Mapping Tools appendix. The left side of the map display lists layers that
are shown in the main map. A reference map is shown in the lower-left
corner of the interface. The control buttons below the main map allow the
map to be zoomed and printed. The Mode button switches between Info,
Select, and Zoom mode. To use Info and Select mode, first select one or
more layers in the legend (use Shift or Ctrl to select multiple layers).
If in Info mode, drawing a box on the map with the mouse will print basic
geographic information about the selected features.
StateMod GUI - 5
StateMod GUI Main Interface After Opening a Data Set
