StateMod GUI Documentation
If in Select mode, clicking on a single feature will display the data
window for that feature. Only one feature can be selected (a box cannot be
used). For example, use Select mode to select a diversion from the map.
If in Zoom mode, a box can be drawn on the main map to zoom into a
smaller area. A box can also be drawn on the reference map, which will
also show the visible extent of the main map.
Status Message Area Important instructional and feedback messages that are generated by the
StateMod GUI are displayed in the status message area at the bottom of the
main interface. These messages are also printed to the smgui_USER.Iog
file in the ICDSSIIogs directory
To fully take advantage of the map interface, each model feature must have accurate location data. Use
the View...Basin Summary menu to list features that do not have locations. Possible solutions to this
problem are to correct locations in the original data (e.g., in HydroBase, for State of Colorado data that
are used to create layers for GIS) or to create new layers that can be displayed in conjunction with
"official" data. For example, it may be necessary for modelers to digitize locations for nodes that are not
actual structures and then add these layers to the map. Refer to the GeoView Mapping Tools appendix
for more information about general map interface features, including how to change labels displayed for
layers (e.g., whether identifiers or full names are displayed).
The following sections describe the StateMod GUI menus, which are enabled as appropriate, depending
on whether a data set has been read and whether the data set contains daily data, wells, or other features.
StateMod GUI - 6
