3. The reservoir displays will be updated to include delay table information,
for returns from seepage. Anew window will be implemented, accessible
from the main reservoir display.
18.2 Update the StateMod GUI to support current StateMod utilities.
Maintenance of the StateMod GUI has focused on reading/writing the StateMod
input files and reading the binary output files. However, support for a number of
related utilities needs to be updated or added in the StateMod GUI, in particular:
1. Support for the Delplt program was implemented before several major
StateMod version upgrades. Consequently the StateMod GUI features that
interact with Delplt do not function and must be re-enabled with the
current Delplt software.
2. The Smlink software to link data sets has never been implemented to call
from the StateMod GUI. Doing so will provide access to the utility
program in a graphical environment and allow for an additional level of
error checks. In particular, the StateMod GUI will also merge the
network (*.net) files from multiple data sets. Standard procedures to
document the link process will be added to the tool documentation and
supplement instructions in the StateMod software documentation.
18.3 Additional Enhancements. Additional StateMod GUI enhancements will be
made in order to address usability and functional issues for SPDSS, based on
specific needs of users. Examples of features that have been previously identified
and maybe implemented after discussions with the State include:
1. Increase performance of running StateMod from the GUI.
2. Allow evaporation and precipitation time series to be selected before
displaying in a graph or table.
3. Update the graphing tool to list only data types available in binary files -
datatypes are currently not read from the newer binary file header (they
are assumed to be the list of parameters from the most recent StateMod
version).
4. Allow reservoir/capacity curve data records to be inserted, not just added
at the end.
5. The Edit...Add/Delete menu items are used to add data to enforce
consistency with the network. However, usability could be enhanced by
initiating the Add/Delete dialogs from the network diagram. In both
cases, consistency in data will be maintained.
6. Update the GUI to support new StateMod report mode options and output
files.
7. Add or complete prototype features to support additional data checks (e.g.,
listing data dependencies when trying to delete a model node).
8. Add the ability to display return flow and operating rule relationships on
the network and/or map display. This could illustrate errors in data.
