This will include source code, necessary software libraries and an <br />executable version of the numerical model. <br />Task 50: Data Centered Modeling Tool Implementation <br />Objective: <br />The objective of this task is to develop and initiate application of the highest-priority software <br />tools needed to advance the data centered modeling concept for the alluvial groundwater <br />modeling. <br />Discussion: <br />The current CDSS groundwater modeling process utilizes a large number of data management <br />interface (DMI) programs developed by the RGDSS team to accomplish pre and post-processing <br />modeling tasks. This Task will use the findings and recommendations from the Phase 2 Task 50 <br />Technical Memorandum, after it is approved by the State, to develop a scope of work for Phase 3 <br />model enhancement activities within the. available budget. T'he Contractor will not proceed with <br />any activity within this Task 50 until the State provides written notification to proceed. <br />Recent advances in GMS (Version 5), the commercial software GUI anticipated to be used for <br />SPDSS groundwater modeling, allow it to perform many of the actions performed by the existing <br />DMIs. It is anticipated that this package will be utilized to the maximum extent possible to <br />conduct the existing pre- and post-processing steps for the SPDSS data centered modeling <br />process. Therefore, this task will focus on enhancing those tools that relate to aquifer flow <br />processes, including aquifer recharge, groundwater ET, well production, canal seepage, stream <br />flow, stream gain/loss, and related groundwater flux terms. <br />Approach: <br />Anticipated activities are described below. However, these activities and their level of effort as <br />described in Exhibit D-3, Task Compensation, may change based on the findings and <br />recommendations from the Phase 2 Task SO Technical Memorandum. <br />Task 50.1 GUI Review <br />• Verify that the selected GUI can perform the processing steps needed for a given data <br />element, and assessing the necessary procedures to move data from HydroBase or the State <br />GIS to the GUI. <br />SPDSS Groundwater SOW, Phase 3 1$ <br />
