Water Supply Reserve Account -Grant Application Form
Form Revised May 2007
7. Please provide a brief narrative of any related or relevant previous studies.
DU has successfully delivered similar projects in the lower reaches of the SPR in Colorado for many years.
Early in our program efforts we joined Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District, the Lower South
Platte Water Conservancy District and the South Platte Lower River Group to develop the Tamarack
Recharge Project. This endeavor is the centerpiece of Colorado's contribution to the Platte River Recovery
Program. Its success is testament to the strength of our partnership and the benefits of the wildlife/water
partnership that the WCSD project emulates. We are confident that these previous projects, as well as
many others in northeast Colorado, prove the suitability of these efforts in other parts of the South Platte
Basin.
15
