Water Supply Reserve Account -Grant Application Form
Form Revised May 2007
5. Please summarize the proposed scope of work. Please refer to Part 2 of the Criteria and Guidance document
for detailed requirements. On the following page there is an example format for the Scope of Work. You can
use the example format or your own format, provided that comparable information is included.
The scope of work should outline by task how the water activity will be accomplished. It is important that the
scope of work detail the specific steps, activities/procedures that will be followed to accomplish the water
activity and the specific products/deliverables that will be accomplished. The scope of work should include
but not be limited to: task description, key personnel, budget, schedule and deliverables and the final
report/project documentation upon completion of the water activity.
The scope of work for the WCSD Wetlands Partnership is as follows:
I. TASKS
Task 1: Pro'ect Design
• Description of task:
Conduct preliminary biological, hydrological, pedological, engineering and administrative
assessments of project.
• Method or procedure that will be used or followed to accomplish the task and identify who will
undertake the task:
DU conservation staff will conduct surveys of the project site to determine optimal location of
water control structures, impounding levees, and other structural improvements as well as
consider biological factors like optimal foraging depths, microtopographysnd inundation rates
that impact the site's effectiveness as waterfowl habitat. CCWCD staff will assess soils, water
delivery infrastructure and water diversions to optimize recharge credit yield on the project site.
They will also produce models of water availability, water amounts, and alluvial recharge yield
to predict the recharge credit made available by the project.
• Description of the major deliverables/products that will be produced upon successful completion
of the task:
1.) A detailed survey and design of the WCSD wetland basin, including all water diversions and
delivery infrastructure;
2.) A detailed bid package including all plans, specifications, and quantities for materials and
equipment;
3.) A detailed water rights prospectus describing the water supplies to be utilized on the
project and the administrative structures permitting that use; and,
4.) A detailed hydrologic report predicting retimed water yield to the SPR arising from project
operation.
Task 2: Proiect Water Engineering and Water Court Filings
10
