For water bodies being affected, describe its location, ez-tent of <br />development. and the eipected effect of the water activity on the ~yater body. in either case, the analysis should <br />take into consideration a reasonable range of hydrologic variation. <br />Sparks Reservoir <br />Location: NEl/4 of Section 18, T llN, R101W, 6`i' P M <br />Moffat Count- Colo <br />Source: Talimantes Creek <br />Which is tributal-~T to Vermillion Creek tributal-~- to Green River. <br />Applicant holds current senior conditional ~~ ater storage rights for the Sparks Reservoir <br />The reservoir has a capacity- of 1200 aft «-hick past actual flow measurements and calculations have <br />estimated as being a realistically obtainable yield. <br />In addition applicant has a long historical knowledge of the source and hydrologic conditions and <br />believes that this is reasonable yield for the project. <br />Talimantes Creek is a highly appropriated strearn with direct flow ag rights dating to May 1882 these <br />direct flow rights affectively control the strearn and routinely utilize the entire flow of the creek during <br />much of the irrigatuig season. <br />There is one 20aft existing senior storage reservoir also owned by the applicant on a minor tributary to <br />Talnnantes Creek do~~n strearn of this location. It is also bv_ decree an alternative location for the sparks <br />rights. <br />The applicant ~~-ould eipect benefits to the strewn b~- storing early season water, creating sulnlner flows <br />that augment ag supplies and increase mid/late season stream flows. <br />8 <br />
