Results
Ten (10) sites were chosen representing irrigated acreage in the CRDSS basins. The sites were
chosen in part because of readily available geologic data in the LRE library. Figure 1 shows the
CRDSS basins and the location of the sites used to estimate representative Glover parameters.
Exhibit A provides a description and enlarged view of each irrigated acreage site used in the
analyses. In general, the alluvial aquifers underlying irrigated acreage in the CRDSS basins are
composed of gravel and sand/gravel mix. Table 1 provides the geologic parameters for each site,
plus provides the water district identifier (WDID) of the structure providing irrigation water to
each site. Both the average and median values are provided. The average value was used to
represent each parameter with the exception of the distance from the stream to the impervious
boundary. Because Site 1 skews the average value of the distance from the stream to the
impervious boundary, the median value was believed to be more representative for the basin-
wide analyses.
The values chosen for the distance from the live stream to the location of recharge were 600 feet
for lands relatively close to the stream and 1,500 feet for lands further from the stream. These
values are reasonable because the location of irrigated acreage throughout the CRDSS basins is
generally near the point of diversion
Page3of12
