HydroBase Data:
Diversions are reported as continuously monitored st reamflow records and as
administrative records by Colorado DWR. C ontinuously monitored streamflow data for
Station 09050590 are available for daily and monthly diversions from 1975 through water
year 2002. A review of USGS Water Suppl y Papers for years prior to 1975 shows
reported diversions for Roberts Tunn el Station 09050590 back through 1964.
Administrative data for Structure 3604684 are available for daily and monthly diversions
from 1971 through water year 2002. Both contin ually monitored streamflow records and
administrative diversion records are avai lable on a daily and monthly basis through
Colorado DWR HydroBase. Monthly Robert s Tunnel diversion data maintained by
Denver Water is available si nce the tunnel began diverti ng water in July 1964 through
2001.
Available diversion data for Roberts Tunnel was reviewed an d compared to identify the
best available data source (shown in Figure 2) . The preferred set of data identified for
Roberts Tunnel was the continuously monitored data for Station 09050590. When
compared to the other available inform ation sources, the data at Station 09050590
displayed the following characteristics:
The most consistently recorded set of data throughout the period of study,
The most complete readily available se t of data throughout the period of study
and in the future,
Continues to be operated as a re cording device through present.
Annual Diversions for the 1964 to 2002 period of operation:
RobertsTunnel.doc 5 of 10
