The plant has an <br />operating capacity of 17 mgd and currently discharges an average of about 8.5 mgd to the St. <br />Vrain Creek a few hundred yards below the confluence with Left Hand Creek, as shown in <br />Figure 1. The WWTP has been located at this site since the 1950s. <br />The City does not have a reuse plant on-line. The City recently constructed river pumps on the <br />St. Vrain Creek above the WWTP effluent discharge. These pumps will be used to convey water <br />to Union Reservoir via the Oligarchy Ditch with immediate replacements made to the river from <br />effluent releases or other supplies from upstream storage releases and/or changed ditch credits. <br />The total operating capacity of the river pumps is 20 cfs and the City plans to start operating this <br />river diversion and replacement to the river in fall 2005. <br />WATER RIGHTS <br />In addition to its direct flow Pipeline and storage water rights, the City has acquired share <br />ownership in various ditch companies and reservoir storage as a consequence of the raw water <br />dedication policy that has been in place for the last 40 years and other purchases of raw water <br />supplies.
