• Users begin to request delivery of storage water during the latter part of April or early
May, depending on the weather. As the District operates the headgate for the Harmony
Ditch No. 1, requests from users on lands served by the Harmony Ditch No. 1 Company
also begin during this same time. Harmony Ditch No. 1 direct flow diversions serve
those users throughout the entire irrigation season.
• Requirements to meet Compact conditions during the month of June are unusual. The
District will make direct flow diversions to supplement storage releases during that time.
• Beginning in July and extending through the end of the irrigation season, the District s
storage releases will supplement irrigation deliveries.
• District irrigation deliveries are stopped at the beginning of November to allow the
reservoir to fill.
Where to find more information
^ The Water District 64 Meeting Notes prepared for SPDSS Task 3 -Identify Key
Diversion Structures contain additional information on ditch and reservoir operations
within the water district.
^ The Irrigated Acreage Assessment GIS Coverage prepared for SPDSS displays the
boundary of the Julesburg Irrigation District service area.
