Losses of one half percent per river <br />mile are charged to all releases from the reservoir. Jackson Lake Reservoir and Irrigation <br />Company perform storage accounting services for the shareholders in close coordination <br />with the Water Commissioner. <br />There are a total of 2,844 shares in the Fort Morgan Reservoir and Irrigation Company. <br />Each shareholder is entitled to a pro-rata share of both the storage water and direct flow <br />water owned by Fort Morgan. Based on an ownership of 68% in the Company, Fort <br />Morgan is entitled to an average of 16,864 acre-feet of storage water at the release point, <br />or an average of 16,500 acre-feet delivered to the Fort Morgan Canal headgate. <br />Ground Water Rights <br />Over 95% of the irrigators located within the Fort Morgan service area have wells, representing <br />91 wells. Groundwater pumping provides for a minimal supplemental irrigation supply, with an <br />average of 1,600 acre-feet of consumptive use augmented each year. <br />Transbasin Water <br />The Company has limited interactions with Colorado Big-Thompson Project (CB-T). An <br />agreement between the Company and Public Service of Colorado was reached in 1990 for an <br />exchange of storage water involving C-BT units. <br />Jackson Lake Reservoir System Page 12 of 14 <br />
