Canal No. 3 provided potable and irrigation water to the settlers in the Union Colony <br />(present day Greeley) as early as 1870 and played a significant role in the development of the <br />Colony and the City of Greeley. The City uses water from Canal No. 3 for non-potable uses in <br />the northern and eastern portions of its service area. <br />HydroBase Data <br />The monthly data over the 1950-2002 period of record pertaining to Canal No. 3 include the <br />following: <br />Total River Diversions <br />• Mostly complete record over 1950-2002 period. <br />Return Flow Location <br />The City's wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) is located on the south side of the Cache la <br />Poudre River and discharges to above the Ogilvy Ditch (0300937) in the Southwest Quarter of <br />Section 4, Township 5 North, Range 65 West of the 6th Principal Meridian.
