The City has additional share ownership in
these ditch companies that have not yet been changed.
The Pleasant Valley and Lake Canal water rights were changed for use by Fort Collins, either
directly or to storage, subject to its pro-rata ownership in the different priorities. The primary
volumetric limits on the use of the changed Pleasant Valley and Lake Canal water rights is the
City's percentage share of 17,550 ac-ft for a single year and 14,169 ac-ft based on a 10-year
running annual average. There is no return flow obligation associated with the municipal use of
these changed water rights.
City of Fort Collins Operating Memorandum.doc 11 of 20 January 5, 2005
