Addition a l m easurem ents of f l ows in the Platte Va lley Cana l a nd <br />Evans No. 2 Ditch are made after the bifurcation. <br />HydroBase Data: <br />Combined Pla tte Valley Cana l and Evans No. 2 Ditch diversions are <br />available through HydroBase under the Ev ans No. 2 Ditch ID 0200817. Diversions <br />through th e com b ined headgate to Milton Rese rvoir are als o available s t arting in 19 89 <br />under the M ilton Res e rv oir ID 0203 876 (Divers i on Class Code “From ” ID = Evans No. 2 <br />Ditch ID 0200817). <br />2) Beebe Canal <br />Beebe Canal is fed by seepage from Barr Lake and seepage and return flows from the other <br />canals diverting from Barr Lake. Although Beebe Ca nal has always been a natural low point, in <br />the years after 1914, FRICO extended the canal up to Barr Lake and deepened sections of the <br />canal. Owned and operated by FRICO, the unlined canal trav els north alo ng Beebe Draw and <br />conveys flows to a series of reservoirs. Beebe Canal bifurcates north of Henry Lake Reservoir, <br />approxim a tely 4 m iles downstream form Barr Lake. The west branch b e com e s the Bowles Seep <br />Canal and continues in a northerly direction. Further north, a second bifurcation of the Beebe <br />Canal produces the East Neres Canal. Beebe Cana l continues north to Milton Lake. A m a jority <br />of the return flows in the ar ea are collected in the Beebe Canal and conveyed to Milton Lake. <br />Length: <br />Approxim a tely 19 m iles. <br />Capacity: <br />T h e capacity of the Beebe Canal is approxim a tely 80 cfs at Barr Lake. <br />Conveyance Efficiency: <br /> Beeb e Canal is a gaining can al du ring b o th th e irr i g a tion and n on- <br />irrigation seasons. <br />Measurement Device: <br />Diversions to Beebe Canal are not me asured but estim ated by the ditch <br />rider to be about 10 to 15 cfs to Beebe Cana l at Barr Lake to obtai n 20 to 25 cfs at the <br />East Neres headgate. <br />HydroBase Data: <br />Diversions to Beebe Canal are not available through H ydroBase. <br />3) Milton Lake (S tructure ID 0203876) <br />Milton L a ke is an off-channel reservoir located south of the Town of Hu dson. Milton Lake and <br />the irrig a ted lands with in the FRICO–Milton D i vision are located in Beebe Draw and the Box <br />Elder Creek drainag e bas i ns, eas t of the South Pl atte River valley.
