Recent Retail Water Delivery by the North Table Mountain Water and Sanitation District: Table 1 shows total annual water use by account type for the 2000 through 2006 period, with residential users accounting for the majority of water use. In addition to billed water use, unmetered water is used by NTM to flush their system. Additionally, contractors use water for grading and construction which is metered but not entered into the billing database. Historically water use not included in the billing database has been small, but in recent years this use has been increasing. Total annual water use from the billing database is show in Table 2. The effects of several drought years can be seen in the 31 percent decrease in total water use that occurred between 2000 and 2004. Total water use increased in 2005 and 2006, though per capita use remained lower than pre-drought levels (see Table 3).
