PHYSICAL INFORMATION <br />1) North Boulder Creek System <br />North Boulder Creek originates near the Continental Divide west of the City of Boulder, and flows <br />east to its confluence with Middle Boulder Creek. The Silver Lake Watershed System includes <br />several high mountain reservoirs owned by the City, and the City of Boulder Pipeline No. 1 <br />(Silver Lake and Lakewood Pipelines). <br />North Boulder Creek Reservoir System <br />Several City-owned and operated reservoirs capture drainage from the "Silver Lake Watershed" of <br />North Boulder Creek. These reservoirs include: <br />• Green Lakes Reservoir No. 1 (Structure ID 0604252) <br />• Green Lakes Reservoir No. 2 (Structure ID 0604253) <br />• Green Lakes Reservoir No. 3 (Structure ID 0604254) <br />• Green Lakes Reservoir No. 4 (Structure ID 0604255) <br />• Green Lakes Reservoir No. 5 (Structure ID 0604256) <br />• Albion Lake (Structure ID 0604269) <br />• Goose Lake (Structure ID 0604489) <br />• Island Lake (Structure ID 0604236) <br />• Silver Lake (Structure ID 0604238) <br />The Green Lakes Reservoirs and Albion Lake <br />impound Albion Creek, a small tributary to <br />North Boulder Creek. Green Lakes Reservoirs <br />Nos. 4 and 5 are not currently operated by the <br />City. Goose Lake, Island Lake and Silver Lake <br />impound North Boulder Creek. The combined <br />capacity of the Municipal Watershed reservoirs <br />in the North Boulder Creek drainage is <br />approximately 7,000 acre-feet. <br />Goose Lake Reservoir on North Boulder Creek <br />City of Boulder Pipeline No. 1 (Structure ID 0600599) <br />The City of Boulder Pipeline No. 1 consists of two sections of pipeline extending from North <br />Boulder Creek below Silver Lake to the City's Betasso Water Treatment Plant. The upper portion <br />of City of Boulder Pipeline No. 1 is referred to as Silver Lake Pipeline; the lower portion is <br />referred to as the Lakewood Pipeline. <br />The Silver Lake Pipeline Intake (Structure ID 0600600) is located on North Boulder Creek below <br />Silver Lake Reservoir and just downstream from U.S.G.S. stream gaging station ID 06726000 <br />(North Boulder Creek at Silver Lake, CO). The diversion works consist of a concrete dam capable <br />of diverting the entire flow of the Creek to the Pipeline intake.
