SECTIONTHREE
Background Informadon
In 2003 a total of 633 AF of water was diverted through the Supply Ditch with an additianal 300
AF provided from Beaver Park Reservoir. The River yield was higher than in 1954 but the yield
from Beaver Park reservoir was less than in 1954.
For an average year, during the period of study by RMS, the average diversion was 5,129 AF
from the Supply and 1,305 AF from Beaver Park Reservoir. An analysis of consumptive use
provided in the above stated report is shown in Table 3-2.
Tab1e 3-2
Irrigation Demand
Crop Type Water Demand
(AF/acre) Acres Totai Demand
(AF)
Alfalfa Hay 2.45 4,000 9,800
Corn 1.72 2,500 4,300
Grain 1.31 1,350 1,760
Beets 232 600 1,390
Pasture 2.25 50 112
TOTALS 8,500 17,362
3.4 PROJECT LANDS
Knouth Reservoir storage will not change as a result of this project.
