Other Aurora wells that may deliver
water into an individual demand (such as a golf course) have not been included in Table 8 as
they serve relatively small demands that have been excluded from the typically comprise small
amounts of water supply and have not been included in Table 8.
The largest ground water supply is derived from the Cherry Creek alluvial wellfield, which wells
pumped an annual average of approximately 3,700 ac-ft during 2000-2004. However, as the
priorities associated with the alluvial wellfield have relatively junior water right priorities
compared with downstream water rights, much of the pumping from the Cherry Creek alluvial
wellfield requires augmentation (replacement). No record of historic pumping from the Cherry
Creek non-tributary wells was found. The Senac Wells averaged about 200 ac-ft per year (total
for all wells) during the 2000-2004 period. The Griswold and Quincy wells were not operational
unti12005. Suggested treatment of Aurora's ground water systems in SPDSS modeling is
discussed in the Operational Information section.
City of Aurora Operating Memorandum 17 of 29
