SPDSS Task 4 Memorandum <br />November 23, 2004 <br />identifies the source of data selected for each transmountain diversion structure and <br />potential explanations for large discrepancies between data sources. <br />Where to find more information <br />Structure specific memorandum containing physical information, operational <br />information, and water rights have been prepared as part of SPDSS Task 4 -Key <br />Transmountain Diversion Structures for the following structures: <br />o Alva B. Adams Tunnel, <br />o Homestake Pipeline, <br />o Berthoud Pass Ditch, <br />o Boreas Pass Ditch, <br />o Grand River Ditch, <br />o Moffat Water Tunnel, <br />o Roberts Tunnel, <br />o Straight Creek Tunnel, <br />o Vidler Tunnel, <br />o Cameron Pass Ditch, <br />o Michigan Ditch, <br />o Bob Creek Ditch, <br />o Laramie Poudre Tunnel, <br />o Skyline Ditch, and <br />o Wilson Supply Canal. <br />Alva B. Adams Tunnel <br />• Continuously monitored data at station 09013000 are available for daily and <br />monthly diversions from prior to 1950 through September 1996. <br />• Continuously monitored data at station ADANETCO are available for daily and <br />monthly diversions from October 1996 through 2002. <br />• Combined, the continuously monitored data for stations 09013000 and <br />ADANETCO provide a complete set of diversion data through Adams Tunnel for <br />the 1950 through 2002 study period. <br />• Continuously monitored Station ADANETCO is the recommended source for <br />future data collection for Alva B. Adams Tunnel. <br />Homestake Pipeline <br />The Homestake Pipeline began diverting water to the South Platte basin in 1967. Review <br />of data from available sources found recorded diversions through the pipeline back <br />through 1971. Recorded diversions between 1967 and 1970 were not identified in any of <br />the data sources reviewed. <br />Diversion records for the Homestake Pipeline deliveries to the South Platte Basin were <br />found from various sources and in various states of completeness. <br />Page 9 of 19 <br />
