SPDSS Task 4 Memorandum
November 23, 2004
Cameron Pass Ditch
• Continuously monitored Station CAPDCPCO represents a complete set of
diversion data for the SPDSS study period and is the preferred source for
historical and future diversion data for Cameron Pass Ditch.
Michigan Ditch
• Continuously monitored Station 06746000 represents a complete set of diversion
data for the SPDSS study period and is the preferred source for historical and
future diversion data for Michigan Ditch.
Bob Creek Ditch
• Continuously monitored Station BOBGLNCO represents a complete set of
diversion data for the SPDSS study period and is the preferred source for
historical and future diversion data for Bob Creek Ditch.
Deadman Ditch
Deadman Ditch is an open canal that diverts water from the Laramie River Basin into
Sand Creek. Once in Sand Creek, water is then re-diverted by Wilson Supply Ditch and
brought into Sheep Creek. Diversions through Deadman Ditch are not transmountain
diversions into the South Platte basin until they are transported through the Wilson
Supply Ditch. Diversion data for the Wilson Supply Ditch includes Deadman Ditch
water. Accounting for Deadman Ditch water and Wilson Supply Ditch water would
result in double accounting of this water. Therefore, diversions through Deadman Ditch
are not independently analyzed.
Laramie Poudre Tunnel
• Continuously monitored Station 06747000 represents a complete set of diversion
data for the SPDSS study period and is the preferred source for historical and
future diversion data for Laramie Poudre Tunnel.
Skyline Ditch
• Continuously monitored Station 06746500 represents a complete set of diversion
data for the SPDSS study period and is the preferred source for historical and
future diversion data for Skyline Ditch.
Wilson Supply Canal
Wilson Supply Ditch, formerly known as the Sand Creek System or as Sand Creek Ditch,
diverts water from Sand Creek and Deadman Creek and delivered it to Sheep Creek, a
tributary of the North Fork of the Cache La Poudre. The Wilson Supply Ditch includes
water diverted through Deadman Ditch.
• Continuously monitored Station 06750500 represents a complete set of diversion
data for the SPDSS study period and is the preferred source for historical and
future diversion data for Wilson Supply Canal.
