Title
SPDSS Task 2 - Identify Key Streamflow Gages and Estimate Streamflows for Missing Records
Description
The objective of this task is to identify key streamflow gages to use in the SPDSS modeling efforts and to develop a method for filling missing data. Revised memo to account for new information regarding the Balzac Gage. Revised February 2007.

^ Allow the use of multiple independent gages to fill a single dependent gage and provide
a summary report that compares the results produced with each independent gage.
^ Similar to the MSM logic that allows the process of selecting independent gages to be
quick, develop an automated process for filling multiple dependent gages with multiple
independent gages (specifically for use in filling monthly baseflows).
^ Add the average, wet, and dry month calculations of the "pattern fill" technique for
filling diversions (to replace the use of MSM and the spreadsheet analysis used in
previous DSS efforts).
^ Provide monthly regression analysis scatter plots on a month-by-month basis (currently
TSTooI provides a single graph for all months regardless of the regression type
selected)).
^ With both annual and monthly regression equations, provide a graph of the regression
equation applied to the historical dependent data period (to check how the equation
would predict the actual historical data). Allow the user to compare two regression
results on the same graph.
^ With both annual and monthly regression equations, provide a graph of the residuals for
the historical dependent data period (predicted value using regression equation -
historical data). Allow the user to compare two regression results on the same graph.
^ Provide one annual value of the correlation coefficient and one annual value of the
RMSE for monthly regressions so that they can be directly compared to annual
regressions.
Comments and Concerns
None.
References
CRDSS Section E.8, Subtask 11.10 Fill Missing Baseflow Data, David M.
