Appendix F
Water Supply Facilities and
Existing Operational or Maintenance Problems
Currently Loveland Reservoir is supplied with its appropriated water from the Handy
Ditch that runs on the north side of the reservoir. There is a gate off of this ditch that
opens into a 20inch line. The 20inch line runs for about 900ft and then joins to an 18inch
line. The 18inch line then runs for about 400 feet and empties into the reservoir. The
photo below indicates the approximate location of the current inlet with the blue-green
line.
~ .

The Loveland Lake and Ditch Company recently completed repairs on its outlet pipe. In
the process we noted some repairs and improvements that should be made on the outlet
gate including providing supports for the gate's lifting rod and re-casting the top of the
structure.

In addition it is felt that the installation of new and newly calibrated weirs on the outlet
ditches will facilitate operations.

Loveland Lake and Ditch Company
Inlet Structure Upgrade Feasibility Study
February 1,2008

41 of 47
