<br />Guidelines and Specifications for Flood Hazard Mapping Partners [April 2003] <br /> <br />The Project Team will include the following: <br /> <br />. All members of the Project Management Team; <br /> <br />. Other contractor representatives that are not already a part of the Project Management <br />Team; <br /> <br />. Community/CTP representative(s) that are not part of the Project Management Team; <br /> <br />. State representatives that are not part of the Project Management Team (e.g., State NFIP <br />Coordinator, representative State Department of Natural Resources); and <br /> <br />. Others, such as regional planning agencies and water management districts, as necessary. <br /> <br />The FEMA Lead shall coordinate the formation of the Project Team based on the needs of the <br />project. While various Mapping Partners will normally be included on the Project Team, they <br />will not necessarily fill "traditional" or predetermined roles. Rather, each Mapping Partner's <br />level and extent of involvement will be based on the nl~eds of the specific project to achieve a <br />"best value." <br /> <br />Mapping Partners with task order-based contracts will be issued a scoping task order to <br />participate in the project through completion of Project Scoping. Work assignments for the Map <br />Production component of the project will be issued through follow-on task orders. <br /> <br />1.3.1.6 Preliminary Research Activities <br /> <br />[February 2002] <br /> <br />The FEMA Lead, in coordination with the Project Management Team, shall assign preliminary <br />research to Project Team members, usually FEMA contractors. These activities can be separated <br />into two categories-researching effective information and researching available data for the <br />Flood Map Project. The specific activities in each category are summarized below. <br /> <br />Researchina Effective Information <br /> <br />[February 2002] <br /> <br />The assigned Mapping Partner shall complete the following tasks: <br /> <br />. Conduct a thorough Mapping Needs Assessment (unless one has already been conducted) <br />as described in Section 1.2; <br /> <br />. Inventory the FEMA archives for effective FIRM panels, FRFM panels, FrS reports, and <br />other flood hazard data or existing study data; <br /> <br />· Summarize the information in the MNUSS database; <br /> <br />. Summarize contiguous community agreement checks; <br /> <br />. Review CA V and CAe files; and <br /> <br />.
