Two team review <br />meetings were held. The first meeting was held in conjunction with the Colorado Watershed <br />Assembly Conference on September 8, 2005 in Glenwood Springs and the second meeting vas held <br />at RCCD offices ui Steamboat Springs on December 1, 2006. The Public Meeting was held in <br />conjunction with the Routt County Planning Commission Meeting on March 2, 2006 in Steamboat <br />Springs. A meeting with City and County officials to discuss water issues and present information <br />from the 208 Plan and this Implementation Plan is scheduled for March 27, 2006. <br />Major comments on this plan included the following: <br />• Project implementation should also consider CR~~(1CD and State 319 Information and <br />Education (I&E) funding sources. <br />• ~jUhile the identified projects are within the scope of projects potentially implementable by <br />RCCD over the nest several y~°ars, it is important to revisit both the 208 Plan and this <br />Implementation Plan, as noted in Section 5.4, and continue broad-based, community-wide and <br />agency-wide planning on the additional recommendations (summarized in Section 3.3). <br />• Future basin plans/programs/projects should consider the following: <br />- Basin-wide monitoring/database/reporting <br />• _ Use of magnesium chloride on highways <br />Oil and gas development <br />- Confined animal feeding; operations (CAFO) <br />- Nutrient loading in Stag°coach and Catamount <br />- Continued use of BMl?s within the agricultural and municipal communities for <br />sediment and nutrient control <br />In addition, it was noted that both Routt County and City of Steamboat Springs have been active in <br />many water issues in recent years, including: <br />• Adoption of the Routt County ~~Jater Body Setback Regulation; <br />• Publishing the Erosion and Sediment Control Best Management Practice (Bh'fP) Manual for <br />Routt County; <br />• Requiring Stormwater Management Plans for land disturbance (construction) activities <br />greater than 1 acre; <br />• Adoption of the 208 Plurr; <br />• Implementation of the Ciry of Steamboat Spring's Stormwater program; and <br />• Publishing the City of Steamboat Springs Stormwater Quality brochure. <br />.
