.

.

.

1.3

Mapping

1.3.1 Effective Condition

The effective 1994 study and 2001 LOMR utilized base mapping developed by the Arix
Corporation of Greeley, Colorado. The base mapping used for the effective study wacs obtained
from the COFC (scale 1 "=200', 2-foot contour interval). Arix Corporation developed the aerial
photography and topographic mapping in May 1984. As-built information used to support the
2001 LOMR was developed by ICON Engineering, Inc. of Englewood, Colorado in February
2001. As-built survey information associated with the 2001 LOMR was incorporated into the
hydraulic models, but the floodplain mapping changes associated with the 2001 LOMR were
conducted on the effective base mapping. Both the effective base mapping and the 2010 I LOMR
as-built survey information are referenced to the City of Fort Collins benchmark system, which
is based on the National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (NGVD 1929).
Additional topography utilized in the current study was obtained from the COFC. The
COFC's 2-foot contour interval topography was generated from 1999 aerial photography data.
The 2005 Removal Action LOMR utilized existing and as-built survey information
collected by Northern Engineering Services, Inc. of Fort Collins, Colorado on: (a) January 20th,
2004; (b) May 20th, 2004; (c) August 4th, 2004; and (d) June 28th, 2005. The CLPR Removal
Action mapping was produced at a scale of 1"=40', with a I-foot contour interval that covers the
left and right bank area of the Cache la Poudre River between Linden Street and the RN.R.R.
The Removal Action Project as-built survey information was referenced to the Ci.ty of Fort
Collins benchmark system, which is based on the National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929
(NGVD 1929) and referenced to the Colorado State Plane North (NAD 83) horizontal datum.

1.3.2 Existing Condition

King Surveyors, Inc. of Windsor Colorado collected as-built survey information for the
existing condition in April 2004 and on February 2, 2006. In April 2004 KSI developed I-foot
contour interval topography for the area bounded by: a) the Cache la Poudre River on the west,
b) Lincoln Street on the south, c) 1 st Street on the east, and d) LindenlBuckingham Streets on the
north.. On February 2, 2006, spot elevation information was collected along:

.

Linden Street from the Cache la Poudre River to the RN.R.R.;
Lincoln Avenue from the Cache la Poudre River to Lemay Avenue;
3rd Street from Lincoln Avenue north approximately 500 feet; and
Lemay Avenue from Lincoln Avenue north approximately 500 feet.

.

.

.

COFC2003-1O Oxbow FINAL LOMR.doc

1.6

ANdERSON CONsulTiNG Er~GiNEERS, INC.
