3.0 M &I Pumping Database
One of the objectives of Tasks 30 and 41 was to create a HydroBase- compatible database with
well pumping data from the South Platte Alluvium Region. This section describes the
HydroBase tables used to store pumping data. The historic data gathered in Task 30 and the
estimated pumping rates developed in Task 41.1 will be submitted in a HydroBase- compatible
database using the format discussed in Section 3.1. Only the historic data will be added to
HydroBase.
3.1 Database Structure
The following paragraphs identify the key tables in HydroBase pertinent to M &I well pumping
data. Appendix B provides a more detailed summary of these tables and fields.
Four data tables contain information pertinent to M &I pumping. These are named WELLS,
M_I_PUMPING, WELLS_DEF, and M_I_PUMPING_DEF.
The WELLS table contains the location, well elevation, permit number, well depth, and other
information for wells in the SPDSS study area. The WELLS table is the core table that links well
information data with M &I pumping, geophysical log, water level, and aquifer test data.
The M_I_PUMPING table contains the monthly pumping information for the wells identified in
the WELLS table. This table is linked to the WELLS table by the well_ld field.
The WELLS_DEF table includes comments defining the fields contained in the WELLS table.
The M_I_PUMPING_DEF table includes comments defining the fields contained in the
M_I_PUMPING table.
