(C) Average Pumping Rates
For the following entities, data from available years were averaged and then used for the
missing years of data. These entities had a limited period of record of actual data
and /or census data showed that population remained constant through the study
period. For entities with little population growth, it was assumed that water demand
would remain constant.
• Cherry Creek Country Club
• Englewood
• Greeley
• Merino
• Public Service /Xcel
• South Adams County WSD
• Swift
(D) Pumping Rates from Well Permits and Decrees
Limited pumping data were available from the following entities. Data for missing
years were estimated from well permits or decrees.
• Log Lane Village (Data from NCWA, a similar municipality, was used to fill
missing data for 1974.)
• NCWA (Historic pumping patterns described through personal
communication.)
• Parker WSD (Data only from decree)
• Thornton (Ten years of data for some wells; estimated from decrees for others)
(E) No Data Provided
No data were obtained for the following entities. In all cases the starting date for
pumping was taken from the adjudication date for the wells owned by each entity. For
the municipal entities (indicated by'Town of' in the listing below) the pumping rates
were based on population data from the Census Bureau and South Platte Basin per
capita demand data from the Statewide Water Supply Initiative (SWSI) report prepared
for the CWCB (CDM, 2004). The maximum estimated pumping was set equal to the
decreed pumping rate for each entity. For industrial/ commercial entities the pumping
rate was set equal to the decreed rate. For entities in the Designated Basins (Wiggins
and J. Klausner), the pumping start date and rate were obtained from their well permits.
The pumping rates for these entities are similar to the rates of entities in the preceding
categories, with annual pumping commonly in the 1000 to 3000 acre -foot per year range.
• Town of Brush
• Town of Carey
• Town of Platteville
• Town of Kersey
• Town of LaSalle
• Town of Sedgwick
• Town of Wiggins
• Cushman Bros
• Cherry Creek Gallery
• Grand Mesa Eggs
SPDSS Phase 3 Task 41 TM -Final
02/08/2007
II
